NITE VAULT FEEDERS Installation Instructions
Nite Vault Feeders recommends leaving the feeder doors open until the deer get accustomed to
the feeder. Once the desired activity is reached, then install batteries and program the feeder.
Note: It is important to ensure that your feeder doors remain open during daylight hours. This will
minimize the possibility of squirrels from potentially damaging your feeder.
Tools Required:
⦁ 5/32" Allen Wrench (Included)
⦁ 7/16" Wrench or adjustable wrench
⦁ Drill with 3/8" nut driver
Unpackaging and Assembly
Mounting the Nite Vault Feeder to the hopper
Note: This feeder will mount directly onto a Boss Buck feeder without the use of included adapter.
The included adapter is required for other feeder hoppers.
Note: When installing the adapter ensure the center mounting bolt is oriented properly to ensure
the feeder opening is not behind a leg.
⦁ Once the adapter is oriented in the correct position, use the provided self-tapping screws to attach the
adapter to the hopper with (drill and 3/8" nut driver not included).
⦁ Once the adapter is installed, remove the center bolt, slide feeder into tube, and reinstall the center bolt
using a (5/32 allen wrench and 7/16" wrench).
Installing Batteries
⦁ Remove battery box cover located on the front of the feeder by turning retaining screw
counterclockwise.
⦁ Remove timer and battery box.
⦁ Insert 8 AA batteries in the battery box following diagram inside of battery box.
Note: Lithium batteries recommended.
PROGRAMMING INSTRUCTIONS
Setting Time
Note: Once the batteries are installed, the timer will automatically be displaying at 12:00
⦁ To set the current time, press the hour button once.
⦁ Press the program button and the hour will start flashing. Set hour by toggling up and down using the
hour and minute buttons.
⦁ Press the program button again and the minutes will be flashing. Set minutes by toggling up and down
using the hour and minute buttons.
⦁ Press the program button again and the current time will be set.
Programming Feeding Times
Note: Program 1 sets the desired opening time. Program 2 sets the desired closing time.
⦁ Once the current time has been set, press the minute button once and program 1 display will flash.
⦁ While program 1 is flashing, press the program button to set the desired opening time. Set hours by
toggling up and down using the hour and minute buttons.
⦁ Press the program button again and the minutes will be flashing. Set minutes by toggling up and down
using the hour and minute buttons.
⦁ Press the program button again and program 1 time will be set.
⦁ Press the minute until program 2 is flashing.
⦁ While program 2 is flashing, press the program button to set the desired closing time. Set hours by
toggling up and down using the hour and minute buttons.
⦁ Press the program button again and the minutes will be flashing. Set minutes by toggling up and down
using the hour and minute buttons.
⦁ Press the program button again and program 2 time will be set.
* Press the test button until the white light illuminates and the feeder will open or close depending on
where the feeder doors were positioned
Your feeder is now set! Get ready to see those nocturnal bucks during day light!
